About SSTS

The Standardised Supervisor Training System (SSTS) is an initiative led by a consortium of six Australian medical colleges—RANZCO, RACS, RANZCOG, CICM, RANZCR, and RACMA—working together to raise the standard of clinical supervision across the country. Our goal is to provide a consistent, high-quality framework for supervisor training that supports learners and supervisors in delivering safe, effective, and inclusive care in rural, remote and metropolitan areas.
Through this collaboration, we are developing a foundational online learning platform that equips clinical supervisors with practical, scenario-based resources designed to strengthen supervisory capabilities across all medical specialties and settings.
In 2023–2024, all Australian medical colleges were invited to participate in this initiative, and we warmly welcome additional colleges to join the consortium by contacting us.
Join us in shaping the future of clinical supervision and advancing excellence in medical education across Australia.
